Boris Spassov has a special interest in works of Schubert and orchestrate one of his unfinished symphonies, namely - 7 th Symphony in E major (1821), whose first performance, conducted by Boris Spassov was at 13th December 1978 in Sofia. In 2003 he was made a studio recording work, orchestrated by him in the National Radio - a new version implementing the National Radio Symphony Orchestra. The symphony was presented in 2004 by the Symphony Orchestra of Varna "Easter Festival", conducted by Boris Spassov.

He has repeated tours of prestigious festivals and scenes in Russia, Japan, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, France, Egypt, Taiwan, Colombia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania.

From 2007 he is conducting the performances of the "International Ballet of Ochi" with orchestra "Aichi Central Orchestra" - Nagoya: "The Corsair", "Swan Lake", "Don Quixote", "Gisele" in Aichiken Art Center in Nagoya, Japan. In 2013 he is invited to conduct the 88th Anniversary concert for Minoru Ochi, founder of ballet company in Nagoya. In 2017 he is going to conduct again "Swan Lake".

In 2008 and 2015 toured in Japan with Sofia Opera and Ballet with "Turandot" by Puccini, which was enthusiastically welcomed by Japanese audiences.

From 2008 to 2010 he has been chief conductor of the world-famous Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Pioneer with which in 2009 had concerts in the "Bulgaria" Hall - Sofia, and participated at the 20th Anniversary International Festival of Eurochestris in France where he conducted concerts of YPO "Pioneer" and the International Youth Symphony Orchestra at remarkable level.

He is invited as honorable guest conductor from Festival Eurochestris in August 2011 in Charente-Maritime, France.
